My career is focused on working with people with special needs and I have more than 9 years of experience in the field. As a Psychologist, I worked in different Neurological Rehabilitation Centers supporting the clients’ rehabilitation process and their families.
Furthermore, as Psychotherapist, I provided psychological assistance to clients who suffered from different mental health problems, especially around anxiety disorders. Some of my responsibilities when working with people with disabilities and/or anxiety disorders involved the conduction of personal treatments, as well as the coordination of workshops through which I organized educational and supportive sessions not only for patients, but also for their families.
In New Zealand, I worked as a Senior Rehab Assistant helping people who have sustained a brain injury; in the process, I worked along with their families to help them manage complex and challenging situations. I also worked as the co-facilitator of a Social Phobia workshop.
Currently, I am facilitator of dance therapy groups where I work with adults with different kinds of disabilities, as well as children and teenagers affected by autism, down syndrome, ADHD and related disorders.
